• This
is a year-long program of in-class behaviour
management. Students receive points when being recognized for “good” behaviour or demonstrating good character,
and have to colour
in a “dot” for poor choices or redirection.
• Each
week, students begin with 10 points and a fresh point sheet.
Every “dot” that’s coloured
in takes a point away, and the teacher is welcome to give students “points”
throughout the week to bump their total.
At the end of the week, students tally their points (10 points –
the number of dots + the number of bonus points) and this gets added to a
cumulative total for the school year.
• When
students reach individual milestones,
they receive the reward as designated by the teacher. Points continue to be accumulated beyond this
point.
• When
the class reaches a milestone (all students achieve the milestone marker), the class benefits from the reward.
